Gotee Records’ recording artist Relient K has unveiled the line up and itinerary for its upcoming Everybody Wants to Rule the World Tour. Joining the 2003 break-out artist on this Coast-to-Coast assault will be opening acts Anberlin (Tooth & Nail Records) and Don’t Look Down (Nitro Records).

“We’re very excited about this tour and the package assembled,” says Relient K’s manager/booking agent, Jeff Risden. “Last fall Relient K proved that they are a legitimate headliner by selling out 25 dates on the Back to the Few Tour and we are looking to continue building on that success with the Everybody Wants to Rule the World Tour. One of the positives about this tour is that the band wants to keep things as fan friendly as possible. That means keeping the venue size at an intimate level and keeping ticket prices down.”

The Everybody Wants to Rule the World Tour will hit clubs and colleges in over 35 cities. The fall outing launches on September 27 in Albuquerque, NM and concludes three months later in Boston, MA on November 21.

Relient K’s new album, Two Lefts Don’t Make a Right… But Three Do, proved to be the year’s first rock and roll breakout when it debuted at #38 on the Billboard 200 retail chart in March. Having sold over 30,000 copies its first week, Two Lefts was barely out of the new release bins by the time it scanned over 150,000 units. With three albums combined, Relient K has already sold over half a million albums world-wide.

Having anchored itself in the upper half of the college radio charts for over two months (CMJ charts), Two Lefts now enters the world of commercial alternative radio thanks to the lead single, “Chap Stick, Chapped Lips, and Things Like Chemistry.” Initial adds include leading alternative stations in San Diego (CA), Atlantic City (NJ), Gainesville (FL), Hartford (CT), Shreveport (LA), Burlington (VT), Nashville (TN), and Roanoke (VA), among others. The listener response in San Diego and Burlington has been stunning — Relient K already has smash hit status with the Top 5 most requested song. Cities like Gainesville and Hagerstown (MD) are also falling quickly into place with Relient K landing among the Top 10 most requested. Meanwhile, music television networks like MTV2, Much Music, and FUSE have been playing the video for the single.
